Presonnal accounts from my dad
Hello.
These are two personnal accounts from my dad. He passed away three years ago. The first account he told to us and it happened when he was a soldier in WW2, assigned to a group of vollunteers who would go well ahead of General Paton and bring back info and also deal with ennemy soldiers. My family is from France. One day he heard a voice telling him that his dad and brother had been killed. The same voice continued on and told him exactly where they would be found. He was distraught about this and was able to get a 24 hour pass from his commanding officer. He went to the town where his family lived (in France) and found it in rubble as American bombers had bombed the whole town. Many of the town's people had gone to the basement of a house looking for safety however they were all killed. My dad found that specific house with the remains of his his dad and brother there. The voice he had heard had been specific.
The second account occured in the late 1970s and took place on a lonesome road about fifty miles from Ft.McMurray. We lived in Ft.McMurray since 1967 as my dad had found employment with GCOS ( Great Canadian Oil Sands). This northern community is aprox five hundred kilometers from the city of Edmonton to the south. One wintery day I neded to drive my mother to Edmonton for a medical appointment. On our way back the temperature was minus twenty five degrees with snow covered roads. Aproximately sixty kilometers from Ft.McMurray I hit a patch of ice and the vehicle slid into the ditch. The back wheel hit a stump and bent a little. The engine was fine and kept us warm. I will always remember this and it happened at exactly 01:05 Hrs (AM). Thee was not a soul on the road, we were alone in the middle of nowhere. At exactly 01:05 Hrs my dad was awakened by the same voice he had heard in WW2. He had gone to bed and as he heard the voice, he also immediately looked at his watch. 01:05 AM ! The voice told him to get up and go! That was it. He got up, got into his car and started driving not knowing why or what he would find. To our amazement (mom and I) we saw headlights coming towards us after about forty minutes. When we saw my dad pull up, we could not believe it. We asked him what HE was doing here and he told us the same voice he knew from WW2 has sent him here. He would not elaborate anymore then that. He was able to pull me out and tow my vehicle to our home. To this day, I am left wondering who that voice was from. I am a believer in Christ and believe that we are part of a much bigger picture which we cannot see with our naked eyes. I just wanted to share this with you.
