As the case of U.S. astronaut Jerry Linenger on the Mir space station described in The Third Man Factor shows, the future of the Third Man is in space, in so-called "capsule environments," especially on long-duration missions. The Circuit’s Teddy Wilson heads down to SPACE TV’s spooky (and haunted) basement and chats with author John Geiger about his new book, The Third Man Factor. SPACE describes the book on its website: "It chronicles the so-called “third man” phenomenon…people in…

The feature article, titled "Third Man In", is written by Outpost editor Liza Finlay, and includes exclusive information about an unusual experience on Marble Island, in Hudson Bay, during archeological research into the lost 1719 James Knight expedition, research that was subsequently published in the book Dead Silence: The Greatest Mystery in Arctic Discovery. "I just…

You can see it yourself by clicking on the video player on Canada AM's website.
The Third Man Factor has entered The Globe and Mail's list of Canadian Bestsellers at #12 in non-fiction. The list appears in the Feb. 17th print edition.
There has been a lot of interest among filmmakers in The Third Man Factor, with this good news just announced by my literary agent Patrick Walsh:

The review, oddly titled Three's a crowd, has a much more appropriate headline on the paper's website: To the power of three. Written by well-know Canadian writer Wayne Grady, the review includes much praise for the book. Here's some highlights:
John Geiger, the celebrated author of Frozen In Time: The Fate of the Franklin Expedition, has collected dozens of accounts and arranged them in…
