John Geiger, President of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, met with Michael Palin, President of the Royal Geographical Society, in London on June 11. Palin is renowned for his work with Monty Python, as an actor and for his highly successful, expert travel documentaries. He has done a great deal to expand public awareness of geography. There was no attempt to sell a dead parrot.
