My sister was in an horrific car crash in 1979. She had to be lifted out of the car by the jaws of life tool and recalls a woman sitting in the car next to her, holding her hand, soothing her and telling her everything would be all right. My sister later died on the operating table and several times thereafter during her six week stay in intensive care. She recalls floating above the room and outside the hospital and seeing onion-like apparitions walking alongside people. There is a chapter written about her experience in Ruth Montgomery's book "Walk-ins" Since then, she no longer fears death because she knows it is merely a transition.
