9-11
I had checked in to the Gateway Hilton on 9-10, dropped my stuff in my room, crossed the road, and jumped on the Path to the Trade Center. Out of there to a couple nearby sites I needed to visit, back to the Trade Center, the Path, and the Gateway Hilton with plans to return to 100 Church Street on 9-11 via the same method and trail followed that day. My plan was to be walking north of the Trade Center about 9:45 a.m.. On 9-11 I woke up with a splitting headache like I had not had in years, and felt as though someone was pushing me back to bed after I took an asprin. I woke up a little later, dressed and got ready to head out late. I turned on the TV to check the weather and saw the Trade Center burning. As I listened to what had happened the second plane hit. If I had been on time I would have been standing in the street looking up in awe when that second plane hit. And I would have stuck around as long as I could just to see what happened next. It was that push back into bed that allows me to write this today. Third man? God? An angel? Definately not luck that put me back to bed.
The pictures show the aftermath at the site I was heading to.
